Being capable of playing pretty much anything that has strings, Branden Johns took the role of playing bass in the birth of Killing Rapunzel back in 2012. Branden's interests in music and wide range of talents has brought Killing Rapunzel a whole new way of looking at things. With interests ranging from Mozart to The Offspring, he has contributed greatly to Killing Rapunzel's original music.
Other than being bass savy, Branden also tinkers around with electronics and small motors. After re-wiring almost all of his bass' electronics, and collecting and rebuilding well over fifty snowmobiles, its safe to say that Branden is the master of all trades.
Branden has previously played in his high school band, along with playing in previous rock bands featuring both his and Dakota's fathers. Some notable performances include opening for Smile Empty Soul, WARRANT, and performing in Wausau's iconic Fillmor Theater.
Branden currently uses Ibanez basses, Morley and EHX effect pedals, Peavey amplifiers, and Hartke cabinetry. But according to Branden, "Everything is always subject to change without notice though. It all depends on what takes a shit on me and what doesn't."
